

William Ralston Lecky III - a native of Richmond, VA and a longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Thursday, May 30, 2013, in a local hospital. Mr. Lecky was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond, VA, and a graduate of Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, VA. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Mr. Lecky was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. He was an Engineer who retired from International Paper Company after 34 years of service. Mr. Lecky served as Past President of the Greater Gulf State Fair. He was an Eagle Scout, a member of the Mobile Jaycees, I.E.E.E., and a local mystic society. He enjoyed spending time with his family at their cottage on Dauphin Island. He loved the Lord and he loved seeing his magnificent creations all over the world with his wife of 48 years, Sue. He looked forward to fishing with his brother Horace every year. Mr. Lecky loved boating, fishing, Virginia Tech football, and most of all spending time with his three daughters, his three “sons”, and his five adored grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Allene Pace Lecky and William Ralston Lecky, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Sue Hearn Lecky; three daughters, Jenny (Buzz) Buswell, Kathy (B.J.) Sellers, and Susie (Hank) Bounds; one brother, Horace Lecky; five grandchildren, Ben Sellers, Anna Lacy Sellers, Sarah Kathryn Sellers, Will Bounds, and Caroline Bounds; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home Sunday, June 2, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday, June 3, 2013, beginning 11 a.m. at Spring Hill Baptist Church, with a brief visitation starting at 10 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gautier High School Annual Veterans Breakfast Fund, 4307 Gautier-Vancleave Rd., Gautier, MS 39553.
