Wilma Virginia Holland

Wilma Day Holland – an 88 year-old native of Advance, MO and a resident of Mobile passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011. Mrs. Holland retired from the Louisiana Department of Education as a bookkeeper after many years of service. She was a charter member of Kingswood United Methodist Church and enjoyed oil painting and golfing. Mrs. Holland was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, William Haney Holland. She is survived by two children, Gloria Henry (Charles R.) and Patricia Mae Mareno (Noel C.); sister, Bonnie June Jones (Doyle J.); six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 1 great, great-granddaughter; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 18, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
