Woodrow Steiner Jr.

peacefully in his home on Friday, July 25, 2025 at the age of 82.

Woody was a resident of Dauphin Island, AL for more than thirty years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Woodrow Steiner and Mary Jewel (Norrell) Steiner of Bon Secour, AL and son Chris Steiner of Mobile, AL.

He is survived by his wife Machelle (Ishee) Steiner,

daughter Kandy (Richard) Mckeown, step-daughters Natalie (Freddy) Cuellar, Nicole

Wilson and son Mathew Steiner. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Brittany

(Caleb) Squires, Lauren (Donald) Smith, Tyler (Hannah) Mckeown, Sydney (Wilson)

Hernandez, Shelby White, Skye Ard and nine great grandchildren.

Woody prided himself in retiring as Corporal with the Mobile Police Department. During his 25 years

with MPD, he also started the Crime Stoppers Fishing Rodeo. Woody was a man that

enjoyed fishing, Alabama football and cold beer in his leisure time. Woody was a man

with a good heart that never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by many.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
