Wynn graduated from UMS-Wright Preparatory School and from Southern Methodist University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. He had a career in project management with Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Mobile, Alabama, and previously worked in Florida and New York. Wynn enjoyed golf, tennis, boating, and cooking. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family, his loyalty to friends, and his infectious sense of humor.
He was predeceased by his brother, Michael S. Mazey; his grandparents, Leslie E. Karr, M.D., Lawrence Mazey, and Katherine Mary Morrissey; and his uncles, Paul Fugate and Steven Moore.
Wynn is survived by his parents, Susan Karr Mazey and Richard Michael Mazey, M.D.; his maternal grandmother, Clara Jones Karr; his siblings, Jamison Tyler Mazey (Meredith), Myra Morgan Mazey (Patxi Goicolea), and Andrew Bennett Mazey (Caroline); nephews, Andrew Bennett Mazey, Jr., and David Tyler Mazey; and nieces, Annabelle Frances Mazey, Katherine Ivy Mazey, and Emma Amaya Goicolea. He is also survived by his aunts, Myra K. Fugate (Jerry Wilson), Debra K. Moore, Sally M. Wilder (Beem) and Janice M. Weintraub (Philip); his uncle, Dr. Douglas Karr (Kathy); and many cousins.
A private family service and a private celebration of life for Wynn’s friends and family will be held.
