ADD A MEMORY

What a beautiful person Cheryl was! Both of my sons were enriched by the many hours she kept them while I was working out of town. She had that beautiful blend of pragmatism and idealism, which made her a complete joy to all of us lucky enough to be counted among her friends. She was also my student when I first started teaching, and as a teacher, it's especially hard to hear of our kids leaving the earth too soon. I guess she belonged with the angels as she certainly was one! Jean (Finley) Nilssen

I am so sorry and saddened to hear of Cheryl's passing. I regret that we lost connection after we re-connected years ago. To Cheryl's family - I hope and pray that you will find peace and that the memories will bring you comfort. I am Very Sorry for your loss. May Cheryl's beautiful spirit live on forever.

Biography

Cheryl Lynn Logan – Cheryl was born in Lancaster California on April 20th 1958, She went to be with our Lord April 18th, 2017. Her father is Charles Potter, her mother is Connie McCarthy, and her brother is Rusty Potter.
Hello everyone. I’m having our Pastor read this for me as I’m still too broken to speak very well. Some of you know me as Rick and some of you know me as Eric, Cheryl almost always called me honey, and when she did I knew she had some kind of challenge for me to help her with, usually an issue with her computer.
For our church family and all those who sent us cards, flowers, gifts and offered up prayers, they meant so very much to Cheryl, myself and our families, we thank you so very, very much. And for Cheryl’s angels who kept us fed and all the caregivers, her A-Team, who so lovingly took such great care of her, words can’t express how thankful and grateful we are for that, may God pour His blessings on all of you.
When I first met Cheryl, her smile captured my heart, as I’m sure it did for all of us who had the joy of meeting her, she had a way about her that just blessed everyone. I knew right then that I wanted her to at least be my friend and it turned out she became my best friend, my wife, the love of my life, my constant companion, my soul mate. Her smile always lit up my life as the light of God shown through her, it is such a blessing to have her in my life.
We did everything together. She especially enjoyed our vacations to Yosemite and our last vacation to Montana and Yellowstone. She loved the beauty of God’s creations, her humming birds and her wild flowers, always seeking them out, and when she spotted a wild flower she would always point them out to me and we would go over to see them and admire them and she would always try to figure out what they were called.
She loved her community and especially her church family, she was always concerned for all those she knew and even those she didn’t know. Her hearts desire was for all of them to know Jesus like she did, and she was always especially concerned for our families, always praying for them, hoping they will find Him. She kept hoping someone would give them that extra nudge they needed to fall in love with our Lord as she did.
She poured her heart and soul into God’s word and diligently sought His heart and His direction for her life, even more so this past few years or so. She had a great hunger for Him. She bought so many books about the Lord our bookcases are overflowing and that I think it’ll take a few lifetimes to read them all.
We also really enjoyed hiking at Yosemite and especially hiking up to see the beautiful waterfalls and just being out in nature. My fondest memories of her are just being with her everyday, I enjoyed being with her so very much and she enjoyed being with me, we always said to each other that God blessed us greatly when He brought us together. We would always whisper in each other’s ear “I love, love, love, you, you, you” and then kiss each other.
She is my most precious love. Cheryl, my dearest sweetheart, I’m so glad you are surrounded by God’s love right now, I miss you so very, very much, I’m so looking forward to seeing you again.
