Jesse W. Newbury

Jesse W. Newbury, 90, of Maryville, TN, formerly of Steger, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. He is survived by his devoted children: David (Ruth) Newbury, Gary (Pamela) Newbury, and Brenda (Billy) Cross; cherished grandchildren: Gary Dean, Justin (Andrea) Newbury, and Andrew (Ashlee) Newbury; and beloved great-grandchildren: Mason, Ella, Addison, Emily, Ainsley, Katie, and Avery.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lillie Newbury, and his beloved wife, Ann Newbury.

Jesse dedicated over 30 years to Whiting Corporation in Harvey, IL, as a skilled Crane Builder. A man of simple joys, he treasured spending time with family and friends, attending family reunions, and playing horseshoes and cornhole, at which he excelled. Jesse had a passion for gardening, spending countless hours with Ann tending their vegetable garden and flowers in their front yard. They loved sharing their bountiful harvest with family, who cherished it dearly. Jesse’s warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Skyline Funeral Home, 24800 S. Governors Hwy., Monee, IL.
