Preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Margaret Haagensen; siblings: Kenneth W. Haagensen, Carl H. Haagensen, Helen M. Haagensen.
Margaret will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was born on December 1, 1947 in Harvey, IL to a loving family of Scandinavian descent. Margaret and her siblings are all 1st generation Americans. She enjoyed the company of family and friends growing up, but her passion could be found in the exciting and explorative world of books! From "Cozy Mysteries" to "Who done its" to books on "Ghosts" and the "Paranormal", Margaret traveled the world, lost in these pages. She loved TV as well as "Murder She Wrote", "The Unexplained", "The Curse of Oak Island", "Forensic Files", and many game shows, her favorite being Jeopardy. Margaret watched the History Chanel often. She could carry on a conversation about most any topic of history. She was a wealth of information! She knew a little bit about most anything. Margaret like to cook and was very good at it, but she loved to bake. That was her expertise and enjoyed by many. She was known for her generosity, her listening ear and her sweet and gentle spirit. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
