Ruth H. Hodgin (Awe), passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024. She is survived by her loving children: Kathleen (Ned) Buddell and Greg (Christine) Hodgin; cherished grandchildren: Jacob (Brittany), Tyler (Huong), Matthew, Travis (Rhianna), Dana (Wade) Alyse and Luke; dear great grandchildren: Athena, Teddy Holiday, Johnny, Dahlia and Miles; siblings: Doris Mappes and Vera McCluer and sister-in-law, Sharon Awe. Ruth is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents: Albert and Alma Awe; husband of 66 years, James H. Hodgin; brothers: Paul Awe and Donald Awe; brother-in-law, Martin Mappes and sister-in-law, Betty Awe.
Ruth was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Skyline Funeral Home (24800 S. Governors Hwy., Monee, IL) Chapel Service will begin at 11:30 a.m. with Chaplain Tony England officiating. Interment Skyline Memorial Park.
