
Ahmed Jamshidi, MD., of Shelton passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Faezeh Phillips Jamshidi. Born in Shiraz, Iran he was a son of the late Habib and Mohtram Semsar Jamshidi. Dr. Jamshidi was a cardiologist whose main passion in life was helping others, especially children. He was an associate clinical professor at Yale University School of Medicine, past president of the American Heart Association Connecticut Chapter and established the first practice of invasive Cardiology at Bridgeport Hospital. The cardiac catheterization lab at Bridgeport Hospital bears his name today. He also found great enjoyment playing golf and the cherished time he spent with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his beloved wife, Faezeh Phillips Jamshidi, other survivors include his children, Darius Jamshidi and his wife Sandra of San Diego, CA, Roxanne Donnelly and her husband Jack, and Marshall Jamshidi of Shelton, four cherished grandchildren, Alexander and Catherine Jamshidi and Greyson and Thatcher Donnelly.
A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, December 5th, from 4pm-8pm at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home 315 Monroe Turnpike Monroe. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
