Ann Jones Hamlin
September 7, 1934 – January 20, 2022

Ann Jones Hamlin, 87, a life-long resident of Monroe, CT, died at home on Thursday, January 20, 2022, following complications from a short illness and complications from Covid-19.
Her son, Bob, and daughter-in-law, Linda, were by her side. She was predeceased by Robert W. Hamlin, her beloved husband of 46 years, and youngest daughter, Elizabeth A. Hamlin-Berninger. Born in New York City on September 7, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Catherine Viscussi Jones.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Beninati and husband Rosario of Brooksville, FL, her sons Robert W. Hamlin Jr. and wife Linda, and their daughters Holly and Kellie Hamlin of Monroe, CT, and William P. Hamlin and husband Ramón S. Alcoléa of Provincetown, MA.
She was an active member of St. Stephen Church, Trumbull, and along with her husband, were the first recipients of the St. Augustine Medal presented by Bishop Lori. She and her husband also took great enjoyment in ballroom dancing. More recently, she was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking for holiday gatherings with her family and spending time with her treasured granddaughters.
There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main Street, Trumbull, CT at 11 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown, CT. Donations to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
