

Anthony Clinton Jacozzi, “Chief” of Trumbull CT, born April 23, 1937, beloved husband of Lucille (Roma) Jacozzi, son of Anthony and Catherine (Creadore) Jacozzi died peacefully in the home he proudly built in 1983. He was surrounded by his loving family. Born in Harrison, New York, Anthony “Tony” moved to Fairfield CT in 1947. He was a graduate of Bullard Havens High School for Electronics. Following graduation, Tony served in the Army Reserve. As an electrical engineer he worked for the defense industry, retiring in 1994. Tony lived life to the fullest with the woman of his dreams, Lucille. Married for 61 years and blessed with 3 children, Anthony (Janice), Jennifer, and Christopher (Susan). Tony spent his retirement traveling and enjoyed winters in Florida. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his six grandchildren, Justin A (Joann), Nicholas, Trevor, Anthony, Adam and his only granddaughter Cailey. In addition, special grandchildren by marriage Jillian (Richie) Buturla, Keith (Hillary) Torreso and their children Sophia, Richie, Jack, Hunter, Carson and Holland He enjoyed endless hours fishing, boating, teaching each of them to swim, camping, building birdhouses, cheering each grandchild at their sporting events, and educating them about life and emboldening everyday skills. His most recent honor was becoming a great grandfather to Evan James and Caden Owen. In his spare time, he was an avid reader, playing cards with friends in Florida and riding his motorcycle along county roads. He is a member of the Connecticut Seaport Car Club. Tony will always be remembered for his whole hearted laugh, pizza fritta and home made bread. He leaves behind his cherished sister in laws, Donna McDaniel, Joann Olson and his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister and brother in law, Chester and Rose Francoletti. His kind, gentle inspiration will influence generations to come.
Tony’s family will receive friends at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher and Son Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Tpke., Monroe on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 4pm – 8pm with a prayer service being held at 6:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Tunnel To Towers.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
