Blanche Rose Rydel Hartz

Blanche Rose Rydel (Hartz) died on April 4, 2019, she was 91 years old.

She was the daughter of Joseph Rydel and Jessie Kaczypenki. Miss Rydel lived in New Britain and attended New Britain schools. After graduation she worked at various secretarial jobs, she also worked as a home health aide. She moved to Milford, Connecticut and resided there for many years until she moved to Trumbull. She was very active at the senior center in Trumbull, enjoying swimming and Bridge.

She is survived by her children Ernest (Kip) Hartz of Fairfield, Connecticut, her daughter Shaileen Rounds and her husband Jean of New Hampshire and Paul Hartz and his wife Janet of New Jersey with whom she lived with. She leaves her brother Casimere (Joie) Rydell and his wife Lydia of Bristol, Connecticut and her sister-in-law Maryann Rydel of Plainville, Connecticut. She also leaves her grandchildren Brittany Hartz, Paul Hartz Jr, Kimberly Hartz and Nicole Jeanetti. Her great grandchildren Alex Colleran, Zachary Colleran, Ethan Jeanetti, Ayden Jeanetti and Gavin Hartz. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her son Gregory Hartz, her brother Henry Rydel and sister Modesta Pacyna.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 13 at 10:30am at Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT 06468. Friends and family are invited for visitation immediately preceding the funeral service, 9:30 - 10:30am. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Newtown, 208 South Main St, Newtown, CT.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Blanche's name to the CT Audubon Society, 314 Unquowa Road, Fairfield, CT 06824.
