David was born in Bridgeport, CT on November 20, 1976 to Barbara King and the late George A. King Jr.
David graduated from Fairfield Prep High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Meteorology from Purdue University.
After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force where he rose to the rank of Captain. He served three combat tours of duty in Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan. Following his honorable discharge, David entered a career in Property Management.
David was predeceased by his wife Marie King and his father George A. King Jr. He met Marie, formerly of Medford, Oregon, while stationed at Fort Campbell in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. They were married for 11 years until her passing in 2019.
David is survived by his mother, Barbara King and a brother George King and his wife Denise of Monroe.
He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He had one very special niece and goddaughter, Angela King.
Friends and family are invited to calling hours Tuesday, July 14th, 6 - 8pm at Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT. In light of current capacity restrictions, Funeral Mass for David will be by invitation only.
In order to maximize safety for our visitors and community, masks will be required at both calling hours and Mass. We appreciate your efforts, thank you.
