Dolores (Leonetti) Lake, age 85, was surrounded in love as she was called home to the Lord on October 7, 2015. Greeting her at heaven’s gate are husband George W. Lake and her sons George A. Lake and David F. Lake. Born September 13, 1930, Dolores worked as a secretary at GE, administrative assistant at Key Book Services and M&B Fulfillment, as well as a customer service representative for American Frozen foods; but her greatest work was the love she brought to her family. With a contagious laughter, a smile to light a room, and an oven full of lasagna, Dolores’s greatest joy was being surrounded by her friends and family. Left with loving memories of Dolores are Doreen and Patrick Shevlin of Newtown, Melissa and James Winfield of Southbury, and Christopher Lake of Bridgeport as well as her grandchildren Amanda, Kyle and Michael Shevlin and Lauren, Emily, and Ashley Winfield and several nieces and nephews in Connecticut and Florida whom she cherished. Friends are invited to celebrate in the life of Dolores on Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 3 pm to 7 pm at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Tpke, Monroe. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Stephen’s Church, 6948 Main Street, Trumbull on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 10 am.
