Edward George Toti, of Monroe, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2013. Born September 8, 1930. He was the son of the late Thomas and Caroline Toti of Bridgeport and foster son of the late Wesley and Mary Haines of Trumbull. Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Lydia of 37 years. He was extremely proud of his son, Neil (Christina) Toti and his granddaughter, Giuliana of North Haven. He is also survived by two foster brothers: Joseph and Wesley Haines as well as many caring cousins and friends. He served for 20 years in the Navy, in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He worked for the Town of Trumbull Police Department, maintenance for 17 years. In his retirement, he enjoyed sports especially the Yankees/Giants, word search puzzles, and long walks at the Christmas Tree Shop and at the Cape. Above all, he valued every minute holding and playing with Giuliana. Edward was a kind, whole hearted family man and friend to all. His twinkling eyes and warm smile conveyed his spirit for life.
