Edward was born on October 12, 1957, in Queens, New York. He earned a bachelor's degree in business management from Fairfield University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago. During his distinguished career, Edward served as chief financial officer for several companies. Deeply intelligent, hardworking, and dedicated, he approached every aspect of his life with purpose and commitment.
Upon retirement Edward settled in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he and his beloved wife, Deborah, built a wonderful life and home together.
Outside of work, Edward had a passion for golf, dogs, and fitness, as well as a love of cars and motorcycles. His adventurous spirit and love of travel took him far and wide.
Above all, he was devoted to his family, who meant everything to him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Deborah Zinser; his devoted mother, Mildred Zinser; his mother-in-law, Barbara Cardillo; his sister, Annette Buzzanca, and her husband, Anthony; his brother, Richard Zinser, and his wife, Joan; his sister-in-law, Anneli Zinser; his brothers-in-law, Gary and Ronald Merly; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, John J. Zinser, and his brother, John J. Zinser, Jr.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Saint Stephen's Church, 6948 Main St, Trumbull, Connecticut. The family will greet friends beginning at 10:30 AM in the church greeting room prior to the service. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniel's Farm Road, Trumbull, Connecticut. A luncheon will be held immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project or National Newfoundland Rescue, both causes that were important to Edward.
