January 14, 1940March 12, 2019

Elizabeth A. Blozzon, age 79, passed away on March 12, 2019 in Trumbull, CT.

Elizabeth “Bette” was born on January 14, 1940 in Bridgeport, CT to Julius Blozzon and Barbara Novotny. She spent her formative years growing up in Bridgeport in the Black Rock area before joining the workforce where she began her lifelong career as a nurse’s aide. While living in Connecticut, she worked at St. Joseph’s Manor. Elizabeth eventually relocated to St. Petersberg, Florida with her parents to care for them. While living in Florida, Elizabeth devoted her talent as a nurse’s aide to several hospitals.

Elizabeth sought to find joy in life’s simple gifts. She enjoyed going out to restaurants, spending time in the sunshine and fishing from the pier. Much of her time was spent with her good friend Mary Ann Lee taking rides with her and her King Charles Cocker Spaniels. Elizabeth’s love for cooking and baking will not be forgotten. Elizabeth had a giant heart that can be characterized by her love and desire to help others and serve the lord.

She will be remembered by her brother Bob Sr. and his children, Bob Jr. (Susan), Marcy Petrov (Stephan), Kathleen LeClerc (Brian). As well as her nieces Judy Schwarz (John), Nancy Bowers along with numerous grand and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Julius, sister in law Carla, and nephew John.

The family would like to thank Ann Lee for the friendship and compassion she provided through the years. They would also like to thank the staff of St. Josephs Manor. Their skilled assistance, patience and loving care provided her a safe peaceful place to call home. All whom have known her will miss Elizabeth dearly.

A mass in Elizabeth’s name will be held at 9am on June 23rd, 2019 at Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave, Trumbull.
