Ellen Lindner Kepchar, 94, of Monroe, passed away on June 29th in Bridgeport Hospital. Ellen was born in Arlington Heights, Illinois to Elizabeth and Joseph Lindner on December 17th, 1923. She worked in the Housekeeping Department of Bridgeport Hospital for fifteen years. She had a soft spot for animals, and many stray cats made her house their home. After retiring, her services as
Babysitter and matriarch were in high demand. She enjoyed traveling with her family, watching The Price Is Right as well as Jeopardy, and spoiling her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and grand-pets.
Ellen is preceded in death by her beloved daughter Kathleen Kuhl and loving sister Eva Miskimen. Ellen will be forever missed by her loving family: daughter Nancy Zukowski, son-in-law Bob Kuhl, grandchildren Amanda Kuhl Sarrubbo and her husband John, Alena Kuhl, Abby Zukowski, and Aaron Zukowski, and great grandchildren Chase and Brayden Sarrubbo. Ellen’s family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to her wonderful caregiver and friend Carrie Miller, visiting nurse Carolyn, neighbor Dora, friend Martha, nephew Tommy and wife Roseanne.
Family will be accepting condolences on Thursday, July 5 at 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home at 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher and Son Community Funeral Home on Thursday July 5. Interment will immediately follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Monroe.
