Enrica Savo Cerquozzi, longtime resident of Bridgeport, Connecticut, beloved wife of the late Gino Cerquozzi, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2021 at home in Colorado surrounded by her son Mike and Donna. She was 90 years old.
Born in Arnara, Province of Frosinone, Italy, Enrica was the daughter of Michele Savo and Filomena Cerquozzi and made her way to America in 1971 where she was employed at Bamco Clothes Factory and worked as a seamstress for many years. She was a member of the Society of St. Padre Pio. She loved to garden, cook, being a housewife; she loved her family and spending time with the grandchildren. She loved to entertain family and friends, playing cards, dancing, especially La Tarantella. She was a good daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her children: Armando Cerquozzi and his wife Eva, Mafalda Maione and her husband Mario, Michele Cerquozzi and companion Donna Romero. Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren: Erika Cerquozzi, Cristina Cerquozzi and Fiancé Charlie Lozada, Elisabet and her husband Steve, Harper, Aiden, and Dylan DaCruz, Sandra and her husband Mike, Mikey, Ian and Evan Welsh, Stefanie and her husband Brett, Brysen and Shay Roberts, Gina and her husband David and Izabella Nunez, and (Michael Cerquozzi’s son) Dylan Finney, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Gino Cerquozzi and grandson Michael Cerquozzi, sisters Cesira Marini, Giuseppina Marini and Marzietta Sellari.
Calling hours Friday, January 29, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Spadaccino & Leo Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT 06468 and Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Shrine 2523 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06604. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of St. Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford, CT.
