Gurtali I Groballi, age 82, of Monroe, Connecticut passed away on Thursday October 4, 2018. Gurtali was born June 7, 1936 to the late Ibrahim Banush Groballi and Liko (Dule) Groballi in Cete, Albania.
Gurtali "Ali" immigrated to the United States on Dec 17, 1960. He celebrated this day as his birthday
and the start of a new life. He was hard working and devoted to providing a wonderful life for his family.
He was an avid gardener and took pride in his home and garden. He touched everyone he met and was
greatly loved. We can all hope to aspire to be half as great as the man he was.
Gurtali is predeceased by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years Maureen (Siksay) Groballi, his beloved grandson Sean Rice and his two brothers Banush and Xhemali Groballi. Gurtali is survived by his daughter Gwen Rice, son Kelli Groballi and wife Jennifer, grandchildren, Skye & Star Groballi, sister Xheko Staro of Albania, special friends the Darak Family and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be accepting condolences on Wednesday October 10, 2018 at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher and Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Burial for Gurtali will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 11:30 am at Saint John Cemetery, Moose Hill Road, Monroe, CT.
