Heide Mizak

Heide Leibold Mizak of Trumbull, loving wife of Dr. Daniel J. Mizak, entered into eternal rest on October 23rd. Heide was born in Mannheim, Germany, daughter of Liselotte Knight and the late Erich Leibold. She was a graduate of Bassick High School, 1961 and University of Bridgeport with a B.S. degree in nursing and worked numerous years as a staff nurse at St. Joseph’s Manor. In addition to her husband, she leaves four cherished and loving daughters; Andrea and husband Christopher Kerin of Weston, Michelle and husband John Youd of Shelton, Linda Mizak of Shelton, and Heide Rose Mizak of Ellington; and three cherished granddaughters; Jacqueline Kerin, Sydney Youd and Bianca Youd. Heide is also survived by her loving brother and his wife, Dieter and Ingrid Leibold, and loving sister, Ute Lima, all of Shelton, and sister in law Monica Mizak of Bridgeport. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother in law Vincent Lima. There will be no calling hours. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 29th at St. Lawrence Church, Shelton. Friends are asked to meet at 10:00 am directly at the church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Griffin Hospital Cancer Center or Connecticut Hospice.
