
Helen Magdalene Neville Motyl, 98, passed away on September 26, 2015 at Day Kimball Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Sebastopol, Pennsylvania on September 8, 1917, she was one of seven children of the late Casimir and Mary Shatinsky. Helen was a long time resident of Bridgeport and Monroe and most recently resided in Woodstock Valley, CT. During her working years, Helen was employed by Cornwall and Patterson and by Levitt’s in Bridgeport and finally at Vitramon in Monroe. She is predeceased by four brothers, Charles, Joseph, John and Albert and two sisters, Anna and Mary. Helen is also predeceased by two husbands, Milton A. Neville and Joseph C. Motyl. Sadly, she is also predeceased by a loving daughter, Alice Ann Neville Nash. She is survived by her daughters Lucille Neville Wildman, Helen Neville Downs and Joan Neville Buffa. Helen is also survived by eight wonderful, loving grandchildren, Linda Wildman Smith and her husband Ken, David Wildman and his wife Dana, Laurie Wildman Tevlin and her husband David, Richard C. Nash, Robert J. Nash and his wife Nicki, Michael J. Nash and his wife Jennifer, Cynthia Downs and Alicia Buffa. Helen leaves nine great grandchildren and two great great granddaughters, with another great great granddaughter expected in November. Also surviving are three nephews and two nieces. Friends and family may call on Thursday, Oct 1 between 4 and 8 PM at the Spadaccino Funeral home, 315 Monroe Turnpike in Monroe, CT. Friday’s service will proceed from the funeral home at 10:30 AM to an 11:00 AM service at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 175 Old Tannery Rd, Monroe, CT with internment to follow at Center Cemetery on Route 110 in Monroe, CT.
