Lenhart, Irene Kalman, age 85 formerly of Clifton, NJ, passed away at Van Dyk Manor Montclair, NJ on October 14, 2014 after a long illness. Irene was born August 21, 1929 in Passaic, NJ, daughter of John and Helen (Gregor) Kalman. She graduated from Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Illinois. She was dedicated to her family and later worked as a substitute teacher for the Clifton School System. She then began a new career as a travel agent which she thoroughly enjoyed. More important to her was her family. She was a dedicated mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. Her happiest moments were spent with “my little family”. She was always excited about coming to Connecticut to visit, at any time. Irene, mom, nagymama will always be remembered for her smile and loving nature.
She is predeceased by her husband Robert. She is survived by her son Dr. Kevin Lenhart and his wife Terri of Easton, CT along with her 2 grandsons Marc and Eric.
A special thanks to Van Dyk Manor for the care they provided to her throughout the years.
Services will be private at the discretion of the family.
