

Henion, James F.S. Age 70 of Monroe, CT. Beloved husband of 47 years to Kathrine Hajkowski Henion, passed away on Thurs Jan 26, 2012. Leaving behind beloved son Daniel J. Henion and beloved daughter Debra J. Rubera, beloved son in law Louis Rubera, along with six cherished grandchildren, Louis, Joy, Hope, Thomas, Joesph, and Grace. He was born in Norwalk, CT on January 12, 1942 he was son, of the late Alden Henion and Thelma Schneider. He was predeceased by sisters Geraldine and Joan and Brother John. He leaves his Great Aunt Audrey Gerrish, many nieces and nephews and cousins, whom he loves very much. James was deaf from childhood, graduated from American School for the Deaf where he met his wife Kathrine. He won Trophies for wrestling and boxing while there. He was a great Boy Scout Leader and was given the Ad Altar Dei Award. He attended Gallaudet University in Washington D.C. In his younger years he was employed as lab technician for Orthodontists both in Westport and Stamford, CT. He enjoyed Saltwater Fishing, Lobstering, Boating and Hunting. He was in a Bowling League with the deaf team for many years. Most of all James was a wonderful family man, and his presence made the world a better place. He will be sadly missed, and greatly remembered by family and friends. Friends and family may join at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher and Sons Funeral Home 315 Monroe Turnpike, CT Tuesday, Jan 31 4-8 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday Feb, 1, 10:00 AM at St. Jude's Church 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT 06468. Burial will immediately follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Newtown.
