Jane Young Holmsten, age 86, entered her spiritual home on October 22, 2014. A resident of Lockwood Lodge in Newtown, CT, she was a lifelong resident of Westbrook, CT. Born in Middletown, CT, Jane also lived in Hudson, Ohio; Doylestown, PA and Springhill, FL. She was predeceased by her husband Carl Holmsten. They were married 65 years. Jane was a graduate of Kent State University with a Masters of Fine Arts and was a public school art teacher for over 25 years. She leaves behind her daughter, Holly Marini and son-in-law Lawrence Marini, her son William K. Holmsten, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. If asked, she would of told you her favorite things were family, swordfish cooked on a charcoal grill and Sagamore Beach on an “A+” day. Burial services will be private.
