Joanann Thomas entered Heaven on July 15, 2016. Her memory will be cherished by her daughter Debra and her husband Bill; her grandchildren Matt, Danny, and Tommy; her son Kenneth; her sister Valerie and her husband Peter; several nieces and nephews, and her loving husband and best friend of 45 years, Dave.
Her greatest joys came from her 26 years teaching preschool children to love learning, spending time with family and friends, being “GaGa” to her grandchildren, and cheering her beloved NY Mets through good times and bad.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org) or North Shore Animal League (animalleague.org).
Calling hours are Tuesday, July 19, 2016, from 4-8 pm at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT with a Mass to follow on Wednesday at 10 am at St. Stephen’s Church in Trumbull.
