John Albert DuBac

John A. DuBac, age 79, of Monroe, Connecticut, entered into final rest on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Connecticut Hospice after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Elsie S. DuBac, a very-caring daughter, Suellen J. DuBac, and her fiancé Richard J. DallaCosta of Monroe, Connecticut, a son, Jason J. DuBac and his fiancée Stephanie Moffo of Searsburg Vermont, and a granddaughter, Amanda Dressel of Milford, Connecticut. He is also survived by a brother, Jean C. DuBac, of Trumbull, Connecticut, and predeceased by a sister, Jacqueline DuBac Ciufo Toohey, of Trumbull, Connecticut, and a brother, Al Baldelli, of Virginia. Several brothers-in-law, several sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews also survive him. He maintained a loving bond with Oneaway and MeToo. He was employed at Yale New Haven Hospital in management information systems for many years. He was a veteran for the United States Marine Corps for which he was forever proud. He also served as a member and past president of the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and camping with his family. The family would like to thank all who shared in his care, from doctors and nurses to Griffin Hospital, Bridgeport Hospital, Apple Rehab (Shelton Lakes), Gaylord Rehab in Wallingford, and Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Wake services will be held on Tuesday, March 28, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Spadaccino and Leo. P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, Connecticut. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 29, at 10:30 a.m. at Church of the Assumption, 61 North Cliff Street, Ansonia, Connecticut. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to Church of the Assumption, 61 North Cliff Street, Ansonia, Connecticut, c/o Rev. James M. Sullivan.
