John Orzechowski

John C. Orzechowski, age 86, of Monroe, CT and Lakeland, FL passed away peacefully on Monday, January 7, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Joan Davey Orzechowski. Born in Bridgeport, on December 23, 1926, he was the son of the late Joseph Orzechowski and Catherine Nicpon Orzechowski. A US Army veteran of World War II, John later started his own business Palisade Radio & TV Service before starting a 37-year career as a supervisor at Sikorsky Aircraft. In addition to his beloved wife Joan, of 57 years, other survivors include his daughter Evelyn Lesko and her husband Bill of Stratford, Jim Orzechowski and his wife Karen of Newtown, John Orzechowski and his wife Joyce of Stuart, FL, and Robert Orzechowski and his wife Michele of Monroe, three cherished grandchildren, Jessica and John Orzechowski and William Lesko. John is also survived by sisters Ceil Decker of Northford, Helen Blum of Savannah, GA, Mary Cortese of Thorndale, PA, Josephine Brigantic of Milford, and brother Fred Orrell of Stratford. He is pre-deceased by brothers Francis and Stanley Orzechowski, and sisters Sophie Pow and his twin Victoria Orzechowski. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe.
