Joseph was a self employed home builder, owner of A&D Construction Company. He built over 100 homes in Connecticut. His attention to detail and honesty was appreciated by everyone he built a home for.
His family was the most important part of his life. He was predeceased by his wife, Jean Stalmack Dellaquila. He was a loving and devoted husband to his high school sweetheart, who he married in 1953.
He will be greatly missed by his children, daughter Karen Rizzo and husband Paul, son Joe Dellaquila and daughter-in-law Linda Pistey, son Michael Dellaquila and wife Dawn, as well as his grandchildren, Kristin Rizzo and partner Jason Tanguay, Michelle Johnson and husband Travis, Josh Dellaquila and wife Kayla,and his two great grandchildren, Flynn and Felicity.
He will also be missed by his new family of friends at Planet Fitness, who will remember him for his wonderful sense of humor.
He loved going to the casinos and going to Disney World with his wife. He will always be remembered as Grampa Mickey to his grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, November 12th at Mountain Grove Cemetery, Harvester Road, Easton, CT at 11:30 am.
