Joseph Marciano

Joseph Marciano, age 72, of Monroe, CT and formerly of Queens, NY passed away on Sunday, February 1st at home with his family. He was the son of the late Salvatore and Natalia Marciano. He is survived by his wife, Justina, and their sons Anthony and Michael and their wives Cecelia and Evelyn respectively. He is also survived by his son, Joseph Marciano and daughter Joann Colagrande as well as his stepdaughters Margaret, Nancy and Lorraine Montfort. In addition he had many grandchildren, nieces and nephews of whom he was enormously proud. His three surviving siblings are Thomas, Albert and Rita. He was predeceased by his brothers Louie, Frankie, Enrico, Joseph and his sister Marie. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, February 7th at 10am at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Friends may greet the family on Friday from 4-8pm at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Joseph’s family is very grateful for the care and treatment he received at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT. The family would greatly appreciate in lieu of flowers that donations in his memory be made to the Swim Across the Sound program.
