Lawrence Mooney, more familiarly known as Larry, age 67 of Monroe, Connecticut, passed away with the comfort of his family by his side on February 19, 2014; after a prolonged illness at St Vincent’s Medical Center. He is the son of the late Lawrence F. Mooney and Helen Louise Trefry. He grew up in Trumbull, CT, and attended Norwalk Community College and Bridgeport University, and was a US Navy veteran. He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years Gloria Pizarro Mooney, sister, Sharon Mooney of Wallingford, CT, and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was an avid fisherman who loved cooking, camping and music.
