

Lillian Steele Wrenn, wife of the late William A. Wrenn, entered into eternal life on November 1, 2017, with her loving family by her side. Born on December 3, 1931, in the Bronx, NY, she was the twin daughter of Elizabeth (MacQuillan) and Peter Steele. Lilly graduated from Saint Simon Stock High School and had a career at New York Life Insurance Company prior to meeting her beloved husband, Bill and settling in Monroe and raising their family. Lilly was an active member of St. Stephen’s Church and school where she spent many days assisting with classroom activities and fundraising events. After her children were grown, Lilly worked at Vitramon Incorporated for 20 years. She loved to swim and sew; but, her greatest joy was spending time with her 19 grandchildren. She is survived by her six children, Elizabeth and William Adams and their daughters, Jennifer, Frances and Margaret, Catherine and David Gombos and their children, Matthew, David, Peter, Philip, James and Sarah, Patricia and Timothy Murphy and their children, William, Penelope and Caroline, Mary and Joseph Cordeiro and their children, Madeline and Joseph, Kevin and Barbara Wrenn and their children, Jane and Kevin and Christopher and Jennifer Wrenn and their children, Alexandra, Joseph and Abigail. Lilly is also survived by her twin sister Catherine Nicol and her husband Alexander and brother James Steele and his wife Karen and sister-in-law Bernice Steele. She was predeceased by her brothers Peter Steele and Walter Steele. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of the Christian Burial at St. Jude’s Roman Catholic Church, Monroe, CT on November 4, 2017 at 9:30 am. Friends may call on Friday, November 3, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations may be made to Blessed Sacrament Parish, 275 Union Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06607.
