Lina Salvatore

Lina was born in Introdacqua, Italy to Antonio and Rafaela Ventresca. Following her move to America in 1956 and devoting her life as a homemaker, Lina enjoyed a simpler life full of her grand cooking, tending to her garden and spending as much time with family as possible. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Lina is survived by her children Carlo Salvatore of Shelton, and Antonio and his wife, Rita Salvatore of Trumbull, Grandchildren Anthony, Nick, Rick and Joe. She is also survived by her sister, Elisa in Sulmona, Italy; her sister-in-law, Eleanor Ventresca of Fairfield, CT; brother-in-law John, and his wife, Laura Salvatore of Revere, MA. Lina is predeceased by her loving husband, of 63 years, Guido Salvatore.

Friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, May 11th, 5-8 at Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 12th, 10am at St. Margaret Shrine, 2523 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. Entombment to immediately follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery, 2675 North Ave, Bridgeport, CT.
