Liselotte Knight

Knight, Liselotte (Lilo) L. Knight, age 91 of Monroe, CT passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Griffin Hospital, Derby, CT with all her loving family by her side. Born and educated in Mannheim, Germany. Liselotte came to the United States in 1953. She worked for Remington Shaver and later at the Tax Collectors Office of the City of Bridgeport until her retirement in 1990. Lilo enjoyed traveling, was a member of the Barnum Festival and belonged to several area Senior Centers. She was also a member of the Harugari Singing Society and never missed a chance to go dancing. She is survived by her loving son, Dieter Leibold and his wife Ingrid, of Shelton, CT, her loving daughter Ute Lima of Shelton, CT and her son-in-law Daniel J. Mizak M.D. of Trumbull, CT. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and her ex-husband Clarence Knight. Lilo was preceded in death by her daughter, Heide Mizak. The Family would like to thank the nursing staff at Griffin Hospital and CT Hospice Care for their loving and compassionate care. Her family will receive friends from 4-6pm on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT. A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, July 23, 2011, at 10am at the Monroe Congregational Church, 34 Church Street, Monroe, CT. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
