Lucia C. Arsenault

Lu was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Daniel and Alberta Cicero on May 8th, 1937. She married Alfred Arsenault on November 6th, 1971 at Our Lady of Grace in Stratford, CT. She went to school in Scranton for 11 years before moving to Bridgeport her senior year and graduating from Central High. Once she graduated high school, she worked as a switchboard operator for Southern New England Telephone Company with her sisters for 10 years. She then went on to be head supervisor of receptionists at Avco Lycoming in Stratford for 40 years before retiring. In her retirement, Lu spent her free time helping take care of her niece and nephew, Kaitlyn and Kyle.

Lu was an avid reader who always had a book in her pocketbook. She was a lover of cards and often taught her niece and nephew new games to play. She loved music and had a large collection of records and CDs. Lu loved animals and had many dogs and cats over the years.

Lucia is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Al, her brothers, Joseph and Daniel Cicero, and her sister, Marie Ryan. She is also preceded by her favorite brother-in-law Edward Raschke and her special niece, Jeannine Fedor.

She is survived by sisters Diane Raschke of Shelton, CT and Rose Truncone of Van Buren, MO. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was especially close with nephews Erik and Kurt Raschke, Kyle Fedor, and nieces Jeannine and Kaitlyn Fedor.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15th at 11 am at Our Lady of Grace in Stratford. Burial will follow at Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull. Arrangements are by Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home.
