

Luisa Lisi, age 90 of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Natalino Lisi, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at her home with her loving family by her side. Luisa was born on April 13, 1926, to the late Augusto and Marietta Viselli in Strangolagalli, Frosinone, Italy. She and her husband arrived in New York from Italy in May of 1963. Luisa worked as a seamstress at Rose’s Dress Shop and as a cafeteria worker at Blackham School, both in Bridgeport. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Raphael’s Church and St. Margaret’s Shrine. Luisa was known for her Italian cooking, her famous homemade gnocchis and “melt-in-your mouth” meatballs. Her food was in a league of its own! Luisa always worked hard, caring for her family and in their large garden. She loved family get-togethers and going for walks many times a day. Luisa was predeceased by her brother Umberto and sisters, Santina and Niesina. Survivors include her son and wife, Augusto and Debra Lisi, daughter Michelina Lisi, son and wife, Mario and Lori Lisi, grandchildren Nicole and Micky Howard, Nicholas and Alex Lisi, Joshua and Maria Lisi, great-grandchildren Gabereal, Ansley, and Hayes, and sisters Michelina and Carmela. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Margaret Shrine, 2523 Park Avenue, Bridgeport on Wednesday, May 4 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Avenue, Stratford.
