

She was born in New York City to the late Mario and Adeline (Ragalli) Mazza. After graduating from Notre Dame Girls High School, Marilyn dedicated over 40 years to the Sikorsky engineering team, where she was known for her professionalism and strong work ethic. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her close friends, and most of all, being with her family.
Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Michael; her sons Joseph Sciortino (Patricia), James Sciortino (Emily), stepdaughter Kimberly Weiss (Alan), brothers Joseph Mazza (Rose) and John Mazza (Teri), along with several nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren James and Leonardo were a special source of pride and joy in her life.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, March 30th, from 4-7pm at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher Community Funeral Home in Monroe. A church service and funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 31st, at 10am at St. Jude’s Church in Monroe.
Marilyn will be remembered for her faith, humor, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. A kind and caring wife and mother, she gave selflessly and put her family above all else. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
