
Mary Forte Tartaglia, beloved widow of Benedetto Tartaglia, passed away November 16, 2010 at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Born in Tufo di Minturno, Italy , she immigrated to the U.S. and resided in Bridgeport for many years before moving to Monroe in 1998. Mary retired from Lenox Jewelers after working there for over 40 years . She is survived by her daughter Candy and her husband Rich Perusi of Monroe and by her son John Tartaglia and his wife Darla of Florida. Additional survivors are three grandsons, Richard and Andrew Perusi, and John Tartaglia, and her dear brother Mario Forte and his wife Loretta. In addition she is survived by two brothers-in-law, Ersilio and Anthony Tartaglia and three sisters-in-law Anna, Josephine and Honey Tartaglia and many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband Ben, her mother and father Adelina and John Forte , and a brother- in-law Joseph Tartaglia. Mary was a loving mother who adored her family above all else. She was an independent and thoughtful woman. Friends may call at the Spadaccino-Gallagher Funeral Home in Monroe, Friday, November 19, 2010 from 4 -8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Jude’s Church at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 20th, meeting directly at the Church, followed by interment at St. Michael’s Cemetery.
