Born to Eugenio and Rose De Vita on December 17th, 1984, Nicholas attended Christian Heritage School, Fairfield Prep and earned his business and economics degree magna cum laude with the silver medal of excellence from Sacred Heart University. He received his MBA from University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business in 2015. During his undergraduate years Nicholas worked at UBS and Morgan Stanley. Upon graduation from Ross, he found his dream job at IBM and rose to be a Managing Consultant in Financial Services in Manhattan, working long hours and travelling extensively on assignment.
Nicholas had an infectious smile and a witty sense of humor. His days were long, filled with intellectual and physical activities of many kinds since he could never stand to be still. He excelled at every sport and game he picked up, his enthusiasm curbed only by his competitiveness. He was constantly problem solving at work and play and his mind was never idle. Nicholas’ passion was soccer which he enjoyed playing from the age of 5, continuing through college into his adult years. He enjoyed time with his family and friends doing archery, kayaking, kickball, building huge Star War Lego sets and recently, captaining the family boat. He adored animals, especially his two Siberian Huskies and bearded dragons.
Nicholas was the beloved son of Gene & Rose De Vita and a loving and fiercely protective brother to Allegra De Vita. He is survived by a multitude of devoted relatives and friends who deeply grieve his loss.
