Nicholas Dellolio Sr. passed away October 18, 2021 at the age of 85. Nick was born on September 24, 1936 to the late John and Lillian Dellolio in New York, New York. He was an avid sports fan and loved the New York Giants and, when he moved down south, the Miami Dolphins. He loved to eat, drink and watch westerns. He was a loving father and brother, a friend to everyone, and generous to a fault. Nick was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
After serving in the military, Nick was a lumber salesman for many years. Later in life, he owned two business: Sylvan Bakery and Delicatessen in Bridgeport, as well as Cucina Francesca Restaurant in Monroe.
Nick is preceded in death by his wife, Joan Dellolio; parents John and Lillian Dellolio; brother Frank Dellolio and sister-in-law Debra Trombetta. He is survived by his two sons, Nicholas (Michele) Dellolio, Jr. and Wayne (Candita) Dellolio, and brothers Peter (Helen) Dellolio and Joseph Trombetta; sister Angela (Louis) Spetrino as well as 3 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome to calling hours, Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 9:00 - 11:15am at Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 11:15am. Interment will be private.
