

He was the beloved Husband to the late Eleanore Roscoe Matera of 59 years.
Born in Bridgeport, CT on February 10, 1932, Pat was the son of the late James and Annette Matera.
Pat worked at Harvey Hubbell for 35 years as an Accounting Manager before his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army at the end of the Korean War. He was a Business Instructor for Junior Achievement and loved to play card games and any challenging type of puzzles.
Pat was an avid golfer who played in the Bridgeport Industrial League with Harvey Hubbell and continued to play the game for many decades. Pat also enjoyed bowling and was in the Monroe Friday Night League with many of his Monroe friends. He was an Usher at St. Stephen Church as well as being the original and last Founding Member of the St. Jude Pope John XXIII Council for the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his loving children; his Son, Greg and his Wife, Darlene Matera of Bridgeport, CT, his Daughters, Laura and Debbie Matera of Monroe, CT, who he referred to as “His Angels” and were also his Caregivers, and his loving Granddaughter, Lindsay Matera. He is also survived by his Sister, Carol Matera Bonvicini, Sister-In-Laws, Josephine Matera & Mary Matera, Brother-In-Law, Wesley Roscoe and his Wife Laura, and Brother-In-Law Gary Roscoe and his Wife, Debbie, as well as several Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces & Nephews. He was predeceased by his Brothers, Jim Matera and John Matera and his Brother-In Law, Guido Bonvicini.
Friends may greet the family on Thursday, May 22nd from 4 - 8 PM in the Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 23rd at 10:30 A.M. in St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main St, Trumbull. Interment will take place at St. John’s Cemetery, Stratford, CT.
