Pauline (Polly) Rose (Regan) Belinsky widow of Allan R. Belinsky passed away on May 26 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT. She was born in Burlington, Vermont September 6, 1945. She was the daughter of William and Pauline Regan. She was a resident of Oxford, and Naugatuck, Connecticut. Polly leaves behind three children and eight grandchildren. Her oldest daughter and family, Lisa & Karl Burr of Monroe, Ct. and their two children Edward & Alana. Her only son and family, Richard & Keri Rogerson of Flemington, New Jersey and their three daughters, Emma, Ava, and Abigail. Her youngest daughter and family, Kristin & Chris Cottrill of Watertown, New York and their three daughters, Ashley Belinsky and her husband Andrew Benson of New Market Canada, and Samantha, & Elisebeth. She leaves behind three brothers, William Regan of West Haven, Ct., John Regan of North Carolina, & James Regan of California. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Polly graduated from Laurelton Hall in Milford. She later attended Kaynor Tech and received her L.P.N license. Before becoming an L.P.N she worked at Valley Transportation as a school bus driver in Oxford, CT. She loved singing the “Name Game” on the bus and treating the kids to goody bags. She later worked at The Lutheran Home of Southbury, Fairfield Hills of Newtown, and Crescent Manor of Waterbury. Polly loved to help others and was always the “doctor” of the family. She loved to read Agatha Christie novels and enjoyed any murder mystery shows. She was a Star Trek fan and loved listening to the music of Elvis, Tom Jones, Lionel Richie and Helen Reddy. She loved traveling to Vermont and visiting extended family and sharing her love for the State with her grandchildren. Polly loved going to the Big E fair each year and loved sampling the food from each State represented there. She was always just a phone call away and always there for you. She was a mother, grandmother, sister, nurse, neighbor, care-giver, and friend to many. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. She will always be in our hearts.
