The son of Rose Silverman, he was raised in Brooklyn, New York and Bridgeport, CT. He was an electrician and lead man at Sikorsky in Stratford, CT with 48 years of service, an achievement that netted him #2 UTC seniority in world. Bob was an avid fisherman and gardener.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carolyn Silverman (nee Ells), sons Daniel and David, and brother Andrew. He is survived by his son Curt Wickett of Shelton, his daughter Linda Hughes (Frederick) of Southington, his grandchildren lan Hughes, Shana Wickett, Bryn Bowen, Nick Silverman, and Deanna Scaife, and a nephew Jeffrey Silverman.
Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home, Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, on Sunday, August 31, 2025, between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m., interment will be private.
