

Rocco J. Tavella 91 formerly of Danbury passed away peacefully on Saturday January 30, 2016 at the home of his son Joseph and daughter in law MaryAnn of Monroe surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret (Nassif) Tavella. Rocco was born in Stratford Connecticut in 1924 the son of the late Nino Antonio Tavella and Mariarosa Cichello Tavella. He attended Bridgeport schools. A resident of Danbury since 1951 Mr. Tavella retired from Ampenol Corporation where he worked for over forty years.
He was a member of the Danbury senior center and Saint Gregory the Great Parish. Mr. Tavella is survived by his three sons, Joseph (MaryAnn) Tavella of Monroe, Philip (Wendy) Tavella of Newtown and Anthony (Kimberly) Tavella of New Milford, CT. Two Sisters Anna Gallo of Trumbull and Agnes Lazor or Monroe, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Tavella was predeceased by his brothers Sam, Jack, Anthony and Philip Tavella. He will also be missed by Blonde. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Wednesday February 3 at 11AM at St Rose of Lima Church in Newtown. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Newtown.
