Born in the Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Josephine Buccheri. Rosalie graduated from Cathedral High School and St. Helena’s Business School. Her biggest enjoyment was spending time with her family playing board games and cards. Rosalie had a magnetic personality, a wonderful sense of humor, and an infectious, beautiful smile.
Rosalie is survived by her children, Josephine Bartlomiejczyk (John), AnnMarie D’Orazio, Vincent D’Orazio (Deborah), her granddaughters, Nina Bartlomiejczyk, Grace D’Orazio, and Abigail D’Orazio; her brothers, Salvatore Buccheri (Vera) and Anthony Buccheri (Lorraine), her many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by Vincent D’Orazio, her beloved husband of forty-five years, her brother, Thomas Buccheri and niece Lora Buccheri.
Calling hours will be held on Monday evening, January 5th, from 5:00–7:00 PM at Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT 06468. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 6th, at 11:00 AM at St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT 06468. Interment will immediately follow at (New) St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, NY (St. Elizabeth Seton Section, Plot 42-108).
