Born in Bridgeport, CT, Bill was the son of William J. Sheehy and Margaret Fitzpatrick Sheehy, both deceased. He graduated from Bunnell High School and attended Sacred Heart University. He was a retired machinist from Sikorsky Aircraft with 34 years of service.
Bill was an avid Yankee fan and golfer, who coached in Shelton National baseball leagues, and was also an umpire for over 20 years throughout Fairfield and New Haven counties.
He is survived by his spouse of 49 years, Carol Mikolichick Sheehy, his sons Brian (Jennifer) and Michael, his grandsons Ryan, Dylan and Noah and his brothers, Robert and James. He was predeceased by his brother, John (Jack) Sheehy.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, December 29, 10 am - 1 pm at Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT. Funeral Service will begin at 1 pm with interment to immediately follow at Huntington Lawn Cemetery.
