Born on June 7, 1949, in Snohomish, Brent was a devoted father, a cherished friend, and a steady source of strength to those who knew him well. He will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, and for doing things in his own way
Brent dedicated his life to his only son, raising him on his own while he was still growing himself. He did the best he could for him. Brent took immense pride in his grandchildren and spoke of them often, always with a smile on his face. Outside of work, and for years as part of it, he found peace in playing music. It has been said that there was a time when no one could play the saxophone as well as he could.
Brent is survived by his sister, Sharron; his son, Jay; his daughter-in-law, Nami; and his grandchildren, Mieko and Dylan. He is also survived by his aunts, Phyllis and Shirley; his uncle, Marlin; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews who will forever carry his love and lessons in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his mother, Arlene; his father, Arthur; his twin brother, Bradd; and his brother, Robert.
A service will be held at Bauer Chapel to honor and celebrate Brent’s life on January 9th, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by burial at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Everett.
We will miss him more than words can express, but we find comfort in the legacy of love and warmth he leaves behind, and in knowing he is now at peace.
