Clarence Zylstra went to his heavenly home September 13, 2015 at the age of 92. Clarence was born in Peas, Minnesota January 23, 1923 and married Theresa DeJong in October, 1952. Clarence and Theresa were dairy farmers in the Duvall area for 50+ years. Clarence was a dedicated husband and father who worked hard to provide for his family. He was a lifetime member of the Christian Reformed Church, a founding father of New Hope Fellowship in Monroe and Monroe Christian School. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Theresa, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters. Clarence is survived by 6 children; Marie (Randy) VanVoorst, Marvin (Cathy), Raymond (Holly), Stanley (Joann), Arthur (Ronda), and Carol (Kyle) Hudson, 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 sister Bertha VanderVegt, 2 sister-in-laws Phyllis Zylstra and Thelma Zylstra, and many nephews and nieces. Services will be held at New Hope Fellowship, 1012 W Main St., Monroe, WA on Friday, September 18 at 2PM. Visitation will be held the same day from 1-2PM at the church. Memorials may be made to the Monroe Food Bank or Monroe Christian School.
