I feel very blessed to have met Big Daryl. He's been a rock for his son Daryl, Jr and his family. He warmly invited Sara's family into his home to share a lovely Thanksgiving Dinner with him.

He taught me quite a bit about living more natural and homeopathic. Daryl wil be missed greatly by many of us.

God bless you Daryl and may you rest in peace, my friend.

Hello Dad,
I just wanted let you know that you are and always will be my hero. I've always looked forward to hanging out with you whatever way possible ( even if it was sitting around the table drinking coffee and talking about random things that we always done). You were always there for me even when I was a brat. With that being said , I know I'll be seeing you again so get ready to get an earful about what all happened down here. Hopefully they have our coffee where your at. Nothing like a good cup of coffee and a conversation with family. I love you dad.

There are not words to describe the pain I feel. I love you ,Dad. Thank you for all the good times and the unconditional love. No matter where I was in life, you loved me regardless. I guess somewhere in the back of my mind, I thought you would always be here. I know you are with us always. I will cherish the time I had with you always.
I remember you racing people in the Chevelle with me sitting with you and mom (no seat belt) saying “faster daddy, faster!!” I remember the horse back rides. I cannot hear the song “Mr Bojangles” without seeing you holding little Punky singing and dancing him to sleep. And the “barking spiders” that seemingly only liked to come out while we were at the dinner table!! We had a lot of fun browsing through thrift shops looking for treasures. You taught me so many things which I am now passing on to my boys. I know you would want us all to be happy. Right now, I just don’t know how. You are so loved by everyone who knew you. You had the biggest heart and the best sense of humor. We all love and miss you more than words.

Dear Daryl (Dario to me),
You were one of the most amazing and selfless men I'll ever have the pleasure of knowing. There was nothing you wouldn't do for those you loved (and sometimes even those you didn't like.) There are so many things I'll never forget and always cherish. First of all before I even really knew who you were you raised one of my best friends and formed an amazing bond with my grandma which in many ways saved her. Fallowing that you gave us a place to call home even though it was hard for you to go from living on your own to living with three people. You did everything you could for us. Ilene just loved you so much especially when you would pull candy out of her ear. You and I had many good times together to include watching Harry Potter together and having many conversations about things I never thought I'd understand, many jokes and laughs too. Your burger dips were fantastic and you had the patience of a saint! The world it so much less without you in it! I'll never forget you!
I love you Dario. Rest in peace and watch over grandma if you can, you will forever be missed.
Until we meet again,

daryl. you were my first love. father of my beautiful daughter, we had so much fun together as young parents, you taught me about cars and oh boy did i love them. The chevelle that became the center of our family. every one who thinks of us together remembers us in that car and all the fun we had in it. Putting you through welding school was a good choice for your future, and then as we outgrew each other and you moved on to your second wife and more amazing kids. you are so loved daryl. and so very missed by all of us. this is just so final and so hard. i love you and will miss you forever
