Donald Walter Newquist

Donald died on August 26, in Everett, WA

He was born on March 1, 1930 in Grand Island, NB

Don came to Sultan from Nebraska in 1952 and met his wife Bonnie at the Dutch Cup Restaurant. He worked in the timber industry until he & Bonnie purchased the Dutch Cup Restaurant in 1965. Don was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Shriners, life time member of the Eagles & lifetime member of the Elk’s in Yuma, AZ, the Moose Lodge & the VFW.

Don was also a member of many civic clubs, including the Lions, JayCees & several others.

Don is survived by his loving wife Bonnie of 58 years, his son Richard (Rhonda) Newquist, his daughters Cindy & Nancy. Don is the grandfather of Brandi, Donelle, Rory, Kevin & Brandon, great grandfather of five, & great, great grandfather of 1.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Donna.

Don is survived by his brother Carroll “Cack” (Ann) Newquist & numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.

Funeral Service will be held on August 31, 2012, Friday at 1:00pm at Purdy & Kerr w/Dawson Funeral Home, 409 W. Main ST. Monroe.

Memorials may be made to the Children’s Hospital in Seattle, WA.
